Our commitment, and how to report an issue

We want The Dalit Project readable and navigable by every reader, including people using screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, or other assistive technology. We treat this as an ongoing commitment, not a box checked once at launch.

What we aim for

We build toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, as a working standard — including semantic HTML structure, keyboard-navigable menus and search, descriptive alt text on images, sufficient color contrast, and a layout that reflows sensibly at any zoom level or screen size.

Where we know we fall short

This is a new, small, founder-run site, and we'd rather say plainly where we're not there yet than claim full compliance we haven't verified. If you hit a page that doesn't work with your screen reader, a control that isn't keyboard-reachable, or contrast that's hard to read, that's useful for us to know — see below.
